Queer Dharma

(Please note, this program is not active at this time.)

Monthly meetings of Queer Dharma are on hiatus at the moment. The Shambhala community continues to be a welcoming environment and welcomes and supports people of all sexualities and genders. The Queer Dharma group is very important to us and we want to extend a very warm invitation for all to come to the centre to practice, or attend classes and celebrations.

We will be keeping the group active through occasional practice and social activities.

Heart of Recovery

(Please note, this program is not active at this time.)

The Heart of Recovery is a periodic meditation practice group focused on sharing support for recovery from addictive patterns.

We bring together the contemplative practice of meditation and a commitment to reducing the harm caused in our lives by our addictive patterns. Newcomers will learn basic meditation techniques to enhance, not replace, their own recovery program. Instruction is available at the start of each session from a qualified Shambhala Path Meditation Instructor or Guide. Experienced meditators are also encouraged to attend and discover new ways to deepen their current practice and path of recovery, while supporting the group. The Ottawa Shambhala Meditation Centre supports people in recovery and welcomes you to attend any practice session offered.
