Bodhi School
The next Bodhi School will take place on Sunday, November 1, from 10:00 to 11:30.
November is the last class that children may join as first-timers during the 2015/2016 session. This allows the curriculum to build from class to class as well as assists the instructors in preparing for each class.
Please register by Oct 29 for the remaining classes in the 2015/2016 session by clicking here (http://goo.gl/forms/CCesu5qOnD).
Since we have a large age range, we are looking for people that would be interested in organizing a class for the 6-7 year-olds in order to have a separate class for the 8-11 year-olds. If you are interested in helping please let us know. Until then, it would be helpful for the parents with 6 and 7 year-olds to join us in the class (let us know if this is a concern for your family).
We will start each class with a five minute family meditation but all parents are welcome to stay for the entire class.
November class: (It is optional if kids want to come dressed in their Halloween outfits)
10:00-11:30 - we will focus on Generosity with guest speaker Jessie-Lee Wallace
11:30-12:30 - brown bag lunch (bring your lunch and stay and socialize with other families)
Suggested cost is $8 per child/class. Please bring the exact amount (cash/cheque) to class. The generosity policy (pay what you can) applies to this program.
Bodhi means “awake”! Bodhi School provides children aged 6 - 11 with a spiritual education in the tradition of Shambhala Buddhism. Bodhi School lets children touch into their basic goodness in a nurturing and fun environment and experience their world more fully, as a way to instill confidence and kindness.
Each class explores a Buddhist or Shambhala theme through stories, music, child-oriented contemplation, meditation and mindful movement (like yoga).

We hold monthly classes from 10-11:30 starting in September and ending in June. Guardians are invited to take part in public sitting during this time.
The 2015/16 year will focus on the Six "Paramitas" (completenesses/perfections).
Location: 119 Ross Ave, Suite 102
We look forward to seeing you soon,
