Queer Dharma

February 26th (2015)

Date details +

Queer Dharma is open to any queer identified person interested in combining the practice of meditation with the study of Buddhism. We offer meditation instruction to newcomers, and we encourage seasoned practitioners to join.  The Wednesday Learn to Meditate sessions are longer and more thorough, and are recommended first - but not necessary.  Please join us!

Our topic for this month: February is the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day, the celebration for lovers. This month puts us in a mood for reflection on the special relationships in our lives. Besides lovers, we hold dear our relationships with our parents, children, special friends, and others that influence and enrich our daily lives. How do our meditation and other spiritual practices support us in our connections with others? How can practices and rituals enhance our relationships and give us tools to work with when we meet challenges in our human connections?

The evening begins with meditation, followed by a small break and a group discussion on the relationship of dharma to being queer.

For more information, contact us at [email protected].  There is no need to pre-register.  There is no cost for the evening.

We have a mailing list.  If you wish to join, send an email to [email protected]
