    Suggested donation: $10 per evening.

Join us for a series of interactive and conversational forums on Women in Buddhism to explore issues of patriarchy, agency and resilience.

This series of dialogues is open to members and friends of Shambhala. This is not a course: participants may choose to attend any one or more of the dialogue sessions. There will be time for group discussion after the online presentation.

Holly Gayley is Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Boulder Colorado, where she teaches courses on Tibetan Buddhism, Women in Buddhism, Gender in Hagiography, Buddhist Ethics, and Transnational Buddhism. She has been a member of the Shambhala community for more than 20 years and regularly leads meditation workshops.

For the last session of the Women in Buddhism series, Acharya Holly Gayley will be joined by Kalapa artist Cynthia Moku to discuss Yeshe Tsogyal and the symbolism of the dakini. We can also circle back to questions around feminine and masculine principles in the course of our discussion.
