This is the first course in the Basic Goodness Series of Classes. The Basic Goodness Series is an introduction to the view of Shambhala, taught in an experiential way. If you are currently attending our Everyday Life Series of courses, the key difference between the Everyday Life series and the Basic Goodness series is that the Everyday Life classes emphasize personal transformation in everyday life while the Basic Goodness Courses emphasize the experiential study of view and meaning.

The first course focuses on the sense of self. It includes teachings on basic goodness, selflessness, the arising of ego and the five skandhas, cocoon, buddha nature, and the confidence of warriorship.

There are three courses in the Basic Goodness series; they are each open (with no prerequisites), though it is ideal to take them in order.

Our Generosity Policy
Offering whatever you are able to offer toward the cost of the program is generosity.
In order to make our programs accessible to everyone, we have a “pay what you can afford” policy. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please decide what works for you and offer whatever you can.
For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “patron price” of $130.
Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.
