Drop in Shamatha Meditation

December 26th—December 28th (2017)

Date details +

Meditation is a natural state of the human mind—at rest, open, alert. The basic meditation technique predates all religious traditions, though it is used in one way or another by each of them. Undertaken as a steady practice, meditation allows the mind to relax and settle. It encourages our inherent qualities of stability, clarity and mental strength to emerge.

Shamatha meditation on December 26th - 28th (drop-in sitting meditation in the small shrine room). 9:30am to 12:30 and 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

There is no cost but donations are welcome.

There is a weekthun retreat in the main shrine room at the same time so drop-in participants need to be respectful by being quiet, not chatting, maintaining functional talking only and generally being mindful that a deeper retreat is happening in the main shrine room.
