Date details +

Milarepa Day is a celebration of the life and teachings of Milarepa and other realized masters of the Kagyü tradition, one of the 5 lineages that we are entrusted to uphold. On this occasion the community comes together for an all day practice which includes the Milarepa sadhana and the chanting of the songs of realizations (dohas) from The Rain of Wisdom http://www.shambhala.com/the-rain-of-wisdom-1.html . Many generations of practitioners have found these songs inspiring as they are stories of how to turn adverse conditions into a support for our practice.

We will serve the traditional Chai tea to keep our voices smooth.

The celebration will take place on Sunday, February 21st from 9 am to approximately 9 pm. It is recommended that people come for the whole day, although it is possible to come for only part of the day.
