Cheerful Shambhala Day

Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the New Year, which is one of the most important traditions of the Shambhala Mandala. Based on the traditional Tibetan New Year's celebration of Losar,Shambhala Day is a time for us to express the wealth and richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through practice, conviviality, elegance and pomp. As is customary, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche addresses the worldwide Shambhala community on Shambhala Day through an online hook-up, which includes centers and groups from six continents and over thirty countries around the world.

This year we celebrate on Thursday February 19 beginning with a werma practice for Tantrikas only at 12 noon.

At 630 pm we will gather together as a community for a Shambhala Sadhana and a pot luck feast, followed by the Sakyong's broadcast and a fundraising presentation
